Thanksgiving Holiday Fun!

I created a slide show with all the pictures from Thanksgiving but I put a few of my favorites from the week here.

We had a wonderful week visiting family in Dallas. We started off the week with a rough start. As we were were getting in the car to leave for Dallas, Delaney got the tummy bug. So we delayed our trip a day while we waited for her to get better. So on Tuesday, we went to my family's house. The kids had a great time playing and visiting. In a separate post I will talk about Delaney and her princess day on Wednesday. Then on Thursday we had Thanksgiving lunch. Yum! My mom "cooked up" a great meal from Daddy Jacks. After lunch we took the kids out to play. My parent's neighbor was out of town, and they always invite us to play over on their swing set. I took the opportunity to get a few action shots of the kids. They swang on on a pogo swing. The lighting was excellent! The sun was streaming through the trees creating cool shadows on the grass.

The second half of Thanksgiving week was spent at Adam's parents house. When we arrived we mad it just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Dinner was great. Delaney and Patrick had a great time with their second cousin Ryan. They made a gingerbread house that looked scrumptious, just joking. They worked so hard on it. Every square inch was covered in candy and sprinkles. They fell asleep to the new Disney Pixar movie UP.
Friday I got up to do a little Black Friday shopping at Allen Premium Outlets. It was a mad house! Luckly Adam's family lives litterally in the neighborhood around the corner from it. So Adam dropped me off on the corner and I walked in so that I didnt have to worry about parking. Delaney came with me. She was a good shopper for one store but was tired half way to the next store. I got a few good deals. At Children's Place they were having a sale and then on top of that until noon they had an extra 40% off your entire purchase. Then I went over to Eddie Bauer and found a 70% off rack and then they also had a sale until noon of 30% off entire purchase, so I got about $450 for $90! Yea.
That night we went to the Gaylord Texan Hotel for ICE. Which is an ice sculputre thing. It was 9 degrees in the building so we had to wear parkas. Unfortunately I didn't undersand what we should be wearing. We bundled up like crazy, but found out when we were walking in to the freezers that they had parkas for us, so we ended up with too much stuff. And to top it off you couldnt bring in a stroller which was carrying every thing we brought! I snuck it in anyway's, lol. They kids were pretty tired going into the ice dispalay so we had a few "melt" downs. So it was hard to really enjoy the full effect. So I took a few pictures to look back on.
Saturday we took Christmas pictures for Adam's family. The kids wern't very interested in smiling but we got a handful of good ones.
Sunday we wrapped it up spending time with my family for the last day before going home.
