Valentines day
We had a great Valentines day, it is all about silliness and fun when you have kids. Delaney wanted to deck out the house with hearts. So we painted a few, but she was not satisfied with the outcome. "More hearts" she cried! But to her dismay, I had thought that we had painted enough. We spent the week making heart shaped cookies, most of which are hidden away in the freezer for a later date, or quick craft. While we made the cookies, I videoed them. Of course they had help from me, and the lines required some prompting, but they really enjoy making cookies, or eating we may say, so they knew what to do. I edited the short videos I took and pasted them all together to make one movie. There was a little contest going on for the TV channel PBS kids sprout. The kids love this channel and best of all the grand prize is going to see Thomas the Tank engine live! Now if you don't know Delaney is Thomas obsessed. She has train after train and she will play for hours with her train set. I am not sure she will win or really that she knows that the video was a contest, but it was worth a shot to win the tickets. That would be a great memory for her, seeing Thomas. Well we will find out the first week of March if anything. The videos will be aired March 2nd-March 6th around 1:45-2:30 PM CST if you are interested.
We started up an old Weisbruch tradition for our kids this Valentines day. Adam and his family had a dance party every Valentines. So Adam and I pulled out our old CD collections and chose a hand full of oldies (well oldies for us that is) Funny thing is we were destined for each other from the day we met in high school back in 2000. We have almost identical CD collections of about 200 CD's each. There is never a fight over what we will listen to in the car, that is for sure. The kids sure liked some of the music. Adam choose a few DC Talk songs that the kids really didn't like, as you will see in the video above. We had a great time dancing. Patrick wakes up in the morning and asks for the "dance" meaning the music in the binders.
It was a wonderful Valentines day 2009
